Alex’ 100% Satisfaction Guarantee

  • If for any reason you are not 100% satisfied with an original catalogue work or print, you may return it for a full refund (excluding shipping fee) within 90 days of receipt, provided it is returned in its original condition and packaging. (Buyer is responsible for any postage fees incurred when returning works. Where free shipping has been applied to “Extra Large”/”Original” sized prints, Alex’ shipping expenses will be deducted from the refund.)
  • For commissions, you will be updated at key points with the progress of your commission, to ensure your complete satisfaction with the end result. After all possible alterations, if you are not 100% satisfied, you are not obliged to buy, and the remaining balance after deposit is not due.
  • Your finished piece will be of full archival quality, insured for the full amount paid from door to door, with your payment under PayPal’s Buyer Protection guarantee. There are no hidden fees.

Commissions and originals

  2. A certificate of authenticity is provided with each piece, stating (where applicable) the title, year produced, print edition number and signature.

  4. All original works of art on this site are for sale. It is possible to arrange a studio visit by appointment, if you wish. Again, Contact me for details.

Framing

Many original works already are available with simple framing included. All other products are unframed. Regardless of the product type, it is highly recommended you contact your local, professional framer, who will serve your framing needs completely, and do full justice to the work or print.

Printing

  1. The Giclée fine art prints of images from the Gallery are created using light fast, pigment-based inks on archival paper. The type of paper used is specified on each certificate. However, as of late 2022 and where possible, Hahnemühle Bamboo paper is used, for its low environmental impact, while still guaranteeing archival standards. Hahnemühle German Etching paper will no longer be re-stocked for small format prints.
  2. The digital images used to reproduce prints are captured by professional photographers at The Studio in Poulton, to ensure as much likeness as possible to the original artwork.
  3. Product descriptions detail the artwork title, the price of the print, and the size of both the paper used and the printed image.
  4. Each print is individually inspected, approved, hand-signed, titled and (in the case of limited edition works) numbered by Alex.

Shipping

  1. Prints are rolled in protective, acid-free tissue paper, complete with a certificate of authenticity and care guide, and shipped in a reinforced postal tube.
  2. If collected locally, small prints are instead protected with mount board, placed in a sealed cellophane bag and then into a fortified envelope or box.
  3. All artwork is insured against loss and damage between the point of postage and the point of delivery.
  4. Packages may require a signature upon delivery.
  5. Please allow up to 14 days for processing and shipping to the UK from the order date.
  6. Processing and shipping to international destinations:
    1. “Standard” and “Tracked & Signed” shipped items should arrive within 1-2 weeks.
    2. “Economy” shipped items should arrive within the following time frames:
      • North America in up to 7 weeks.
      • Australia in up to 13 weeks.
  7. EU orders are not currently possible through this site. Please visit alexflemingart.etsy.com, and file a request for any products unlisted there. Sincere apologies for any inconvenience.
  8. Commissions and “Extra large”/”Original” sized prints arrive with enhanced insurance and a quicker delivery method than standard. The chosen options will depend on both the specific product and the region to which it is delivered. All options are discussed in advance.
  9. The current “back order” date for larger sized prints is Sunday 27th November 2022, at which point all such orders are processed and shipped. Please submit your order by this date to receive it within stated shipping times. Orders submitted after this will be processed upon the following “back order” date (normally two months later).

Delivery Charges

  1. Fully insured Royal Mail/Hermes delivery is FREE on all UK orders, unless enhanced options are requested.
  2. International customers are charged up to £17.95 per order, depending on product type and shipping method chosen. Alex Fleming Art will not be held responsible for any tax or import duties of your country of residence, so please ensure you are aware of these potential extra costs before buy works or agreeing to a commission. Fully insured Royal Mail delivery is FREE on international orders over £100. 
  3. EU orders are not currently possible through this site. Please visit alexflemingart.etsy.com, and file a request for any products unlisted there. Sincere apologies for any inconvenience.
  4. When requesting a commission, the delivery fee will be included in the price quoted, if it is required.
  5. The shipping fee will only be charged once if multiple items are purchased in a single transaction with delivery to a single address.
  6. Pre-order items and in-stock items will all be shipped out together upon the release of the pre-order item, unless otherwise requested.
  7. Secure payments (Paypal, major credit/debit card or BACS payments) are accepted using the site checkout.

Returns

  1. Buyer is responsible for any postage fees incurred when returning works.
  2. Claims regarding product damage or loss during transit must be registered with the courier.
  3. Commissions can only be returned if damage in transit has been discovered. In this case, a claim will first be made on your behalf with the courier.
  4. If a problem or fault is found on a print, please use the Contact form to report the issue within 24 hours of receipt, so that the printers can be informed and you can be given a replacement as soon as possible. You must provide your order confirmation and a description of the problem. You will be contacted as soon as possible to resolve the issue.

  • They will only, strictly be used for correspondence in direct relation to your query (if using the Contact form), or in the form of a Newsletter (if you have opted in).

  • Your personal information will not be stored beyond the lifetime of either engagement outlined above.
  • Alex Fleming Art does not engage with third-party advertisers.
