The beautiful image I used highlights the potency of environmental change on world wildlife. As imposing as this polar bear may be, its very existence is subject to the vast surroundings by which it is dwarfed. Impermanent and unstable habitat conditions remain a source of endless inspiration and beauty. Conservation status: vulnerable.

I try & support the work of the David Shepherd Wildlife Trust & their yearly wildlife artist of the year event which promotes beautiful wildlife artwork and at the same time raises funds to help protect wildlife around the world
I came across Alex’s work last year when he had a number of artwork’s that had made it to the finals
I was fortunate to have been able to purchase a beautiful piece of art by Alex of a Snow Leopard
When I saw Alex had some art that has reached this years finals I had to check them out
The 4 pieces , are of course , all excellent but when I saw HOME I was amazed at the detail , texture & the amazing landscape
I have been fortunate enough to have been able to purchase the original picture and it has pride of place on my dining room wall & I am able to look at it every day
I am truly amazed at the depth , structure & detail in this picture it is stunning & definitely worthy of the accolade ‘Highly Commended’ which it received from the judges of this years competition – I am sure you won’t be disappointed if you decide to acquire a HOME print & you will be supporting projects helping to protect wildlife too

I am bowled over with my polar bear print. I chose this as we visited Svalbard in February a few years ago and fell in love with the extreme environment and local animals, polar bears being amongst those. The details in your paintings are spectacular and the effect is way better than any photograph. Every time Iook at my polar bear I am transported back to the harsh environment of Svalbard and feel so much at home with him amongst the snow and moody weather. I am also inspired by the beauty of the art work and am filled with such serenity and happiness. I am looking at what my next purchase should be. They are all totally unique and spectacular and I sincerely congratulate you. My dream is to obtain an original one day. Alison
